Tracks
The track list, its status tabs, search, list and grid views, the row menu, and what every status flag means.
Catalog→Tracks is the home of everything you sell as a single release: beats, songs and vocals. The Catalog section shares one tab row (Tracks, Sound kits, Albums, Tracklists) so you can move between them without leaving the page.
Status tabs
Every track is in exactly one status, and the list filters by it:
| Tab | What's in it |
|---|---|
| Published | Live in your store. Buyers can find and buy these. |
| Scheduled | Tracks with a future release date. They go live automatically on that date. |
| Drafts | Tracks you are still working on. |
| Archived | Hidden from your sales channels and Shopify admin, but kept here so you can unarchive later. |
Finding and viewing tracks
- Search tracks filters the current tab by title as you type.
- The list/grid toggle switches between detail rows (title, collaborators, duration, BPM, musical key, tags, price) and an artwork grid.
- Long catalogs paginate; the total ("N tracks") shows above the list.
How to create a track
Start a new track
In Catalog→Tracks, click Add in the action bar and choose Track. Tuneboom creates an empty draft and opens the track editor. Nothing is saved until you publish or press Save, so you can leave and come back anytime.
Fill in Track info
Add a Title, upload square artwork, and pick the Type — Song, Beat or Vocals. The type decides the rest: songs sell at one flat price; beats and vocals sell per license and can carry stems and previews. A future Release date turns publishing into scheduling.
Upload your audio
Open Audio files and add the master buyers download after purchase (.mp3, .wav or .flac). For beats and vocals you can also add stems and a tagged preview — or let auto-tagging build the preview for you.
Set your price
Open Pricing. Songs take one Price. Beats and vocals show one price per enabled license, pre-filled from your license templates — override them here for this track.
Add the optional details (recommended)
Metadata (genre, mood, BPM, key, tags) is how buyers find the track in search and recommendations. Lyrics & credits and a Storefront player preset are optional polish.
Publish
When every required section is complete, click Publish to create the Shopify product and put the track live. If you set a future release date, the button becomes Schedule and the track goes live automatically on that date.
If your plan's track limit is reached, creation stops with an upgrade prompt naming the limit. See Plans.
The row menu
Each row's ⋮ menu offers:
- Edit: opens the track editor.
- Add to tracklist: puts the track in one of your Tracklists.
- Share: copies the track's storefront product URL. Available once the track is published with a Shopify product.
- Delete: permanently removes the track after a confirmation. This cannot be undone; use Archive (inside the editor) if you only want it out of sight.
Status flags
Rows carry flags beyond the tab's status:
| Flag | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Private | The track is hidden from storefront browsing. |
| Not for sale | Not sold on its own and has no Shopify product, but it still plays inside any album that includes it. |
| Sold | Sold exclusively; the exclusive license removed it from sale. |
| Tagging | The auto-tagged preview is rendering right now. The list refreshes itself every few seconds while any row on the page is still rendering, so a batch upload shows progress without opening each track. |
| Tagging failed | The preview render failed. Open the track's Audio files section and press Retry. See Auto-tagging. |
Empty tabs
Each tab explains itself when empty. For example, Published shows "No published tracks yet — Upload your first track to start selling it in your store." with an Add track button, and Scheduled shows "Tracks with a future release date will appear here until they go live."
