Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how the Tuneboom application (“Tuneboom”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses, and protects information when you — the merchant installing or using Tuneboom — and your customers use the service. Tuneboom runs inside your Shopify store and works alongside Shopify’s own privacy practices.

Merchant information. When you install Tuneboom we receive information from Shopify about your store — store name, domain, email, and account details — along with the content you upload, such as audio files, artwork, metadata, and license terms.

Customer information. To fulfill digital orders we process order details for your customers, including name, email, purchased items, and the download activity associated with their delivery links.

Usage data. We collect technical and usage information — such as log data, device and browser information, and interactions with the audio player and app — to operate, secure, and improve the service.

We use the information we collect to operate and provide Tuneboom: hosting and transcoding audio, generating previews and renditions, embedding the audio player in your store, fulfilling digital orders with secure download delivery, providing support, and improving and securing the service. We do not sell your information or your customers’ information.

We share information only as needed to run the service — with the infrastructure and subprocessors that operate it, including cloud file storage (Google Cloud Storage and Amazon S3), transactional email delivery (SendGrid), and session and caching infrastructure — and with Shopify, which hosts your store and handles billing. We may also disclose information where required by law or to protect the rights, safety, and integrity of the service.

We retain merchant content and account data for as long as Tuneboom is installed. When you uninstall, we retain your data for a limited period to allow reinstallation, after which it may be permanently deleted. Customer order and delivery data is retained as needed to provide delivery and to comply with legal and accounting obligations.

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, or misuse — including encrypted transport, time-limited and download-count-limited delivery links, and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete personal information. Merchants can manage most data directly in the app and Shopify admin. For requests concerning data we hold, or to exercise your rights, contact us at support@tuneboom.app.

Tuneboom implements Shopify’s mandatory compliance webhooks — customers/data_request, customers/redact, and shop/redact. When a customer requests their data or its deletion through a store that uses Tuneboom, or when a store uninstalls the app, we respond to those requests in accordance with Shopify’s requirements and applicable law.

We may process and store information in countries other than where you or your customers are located. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for such transfers.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the app or by email before they take effect. Continued use of Tuneboom after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
