Checkout consent isn't blocking checkout
Buyers complete checkout without accepting license terms. What the Tuneboom app embed needs, and how Tuneboom still blocks unaccepted checkouts.
Symptom: a license has Require buyer acceptance turned on, but customers reach the Thank you page without ever ticking an "I agree" box, or the consent step simply never appears.
Cause
Almost always: the Tuneboom app embed is disabled in your published theme. The embed's consent modal is where buyers accept. With it missing, Tuneboom stops enforcing the requirement on that license (the license editor warns about exactly this), so checkout proceeds without a consent step.
The full setup is in Checkout consent. This page is just the diagnosis.
Fix
The app embed is off. The fastest route: open the license in Licenses and click Turn on app embed in the warning banner. It opens your theme editor with the embed ready to switch on. You can also get there by hand: Online Store→Themes→Customize→Theme settings→App embeds, toggle Tuneboom on, and Save.
Back in the license editor, click I've turned it on — re-check to confirm the toggle actually saved.
The built-in safety net still blocks express checkouts
Even without any visible consent step, the Tuneboom License Acceptance check refuses a checkout that has no recorded acceptance. It runs on every plan and every checkout type, including Shop Pay, Apple Pay and Google Pay. Buyers see "You must accept the … license terms before checking out. Return to your cart to accept." So a missing embed doesn't leak unaccepted sales; it strands buyers at checkout with no way to agree. That's why the embed must be on.
Verify
The license editor warns you when acceptance is on but the consent step isn't installed:
Then place a real test order for a license requiring acceptance: you should be unable to reach payment without ticking the box, and afterwards the order detail's License agreements section shows "Accepted at checkout" with a timestamp. See Managing orders.
