Sticky player bar
Turn on the Tuneboom app embed, then let your preset drive the site-wide floating bar that keeps music playing while buyers browse.
The sticky player bar is a floating player that sits at the edge of every page of your storefront. When a buyer starts a preview anywhere (a product page, a collection, the browse player), the bar picks it up and keeps playing while they continue shopping. It stays in step with any inline player on the page, so there's only ever one thing playing.
Turn it on
Two switches control the bar. The Tuneboom app embed in your theme is the one-time installation; the Sticky bar toggle on your preset is the day-to-day on/off.
Open App embeds
In the Shopify admin, open your theme editor and go to Theme settings→App embeds.
Toggle Tuneboom
Switch Tuneboom on and save the theme. This single embed powers both the sticky player bar and the license consent modal. The setup guide's Enable the Tuneboom app embed step verifies it automatically.
Check the preset's Sticky bar toggle
In Storefront→Presets→your default preset→Controls, make sure Sticky bar is on. It is on by default; switching it off hides the bar storewide without touching your theme.
No embed settings to manage
The embed has no settings of its own. Turning the bar on or off day to day happens on your preset (the Sticky bar toggle under Controls), never in the theme editor.
Everything about how the bar looks and behaves (colors, corner radius, where the previous/play/next cluster sits, the waveform style, which controls and now-playing details show) comes from your shop's default preset. That's deliberate: one preset change restyles the bar and every inline player at once, instead of you re-entering values per block per theme.
Two preset options apply only to the bar:
- Sticky bar transport: On the artwork, Leading edge, or Centred.
- Sticky bar waveform: Full width, Inset panel, Expand on hover, or Progress bar only.
See the player variants reference for every option.
Install the player block
Add the Tuneboom Player app block to your theme, understand how it auto-detects tracks, albums, and sound kits per page, and what the theme editor's sample tracks are.
Customize appearance
Build reusable player presets with a live preview, set a shop default, assign presets per track, album, or tracklist, and learn how the player picks which look to use.
