Storefront Player

Customize appearance

Build reusable player presets with a live preview, set a shop default, assign presets per track, album, or tracklist, and learn how the player picks which look to use.

Basic plan and up

Everything about how your storefront player looks lives in presets: reusable looks you build once in the Tuneboom app and apply everywhere. You manage them under StorefrontPresets.

The fallback chain

Every player picks its look the same way, top to bottom:

  1. Per-resource preset: the preset assigned to the specific track, album, or tracklist being played.
  2. Shop default preset: if the item has no preset of its own, the player uses the preset marked Default in your preset list. It applies to any item set to "Automatic", and to the sticky bar and browse players.
  3. Built-in look: with no presets at all, the player uses its baked-in "Classic" dark look.
How the player picks a look: the item's preset, then the shop default, then the built-in look.

This is also why the theme editor's Layout setting has an Automatic (managed in Tuneboom app) option: an Automatic block takes its layout and appearance from whatever this order picks.

Your preset list

StorefrontPresets shows each preset with a color swatch, its layout and scheme summary, and a Default badge on the shop default. From here you can Edit, Set as default, or Delete a preset, and Create preset starts a new one.

Presets: reusable player looks. The default applies to any item set to Automatic.

The preset editor

The editor pairs an inspector with a live preview populated with your real catalog, so every change shows on actual tracks before you save. The toolbar holds the preset name, an unsaved-changes indicator, and Reset, which restores the stock appearance and controls while keeping the preset's name. Nothing applies to your storefront until you click Save.

The preset editor: Design and Controls tabs on the left, live preview with your real tracks on the right.

The inspector has two tabs:

Design

  • Layout picks the player variant: Full store player, Single track card, Plain list, Compact player, Track list (minimal), or Beat store card.
  • Sticky bar waveform: Full width, Inset panel, Expand on hover, or Progress bar only.
  • Scheme: light or dark starting palettes.
  • Background: swatch rows matched to your scheme, plus a free color field. Picking a custom background switches the scheme to custom and chooses legible text and button colors automatically.
  • Accent: the highlight color (defaults to Tuneboom purple).
  • Text and Buy buttons: available once you're on a custom scheme.
  • Corner radius: 0 to 24 px.

Controls

  • Sticky bar transport sets where the previous/play/next cluster sits in the bar: On the artwork, Leading edge, or Centred.
  • Show/hide tiles for Artwork, Title, Artist, Prev / next, Volume, Shuffle, Repeat, Progress bar, Sticky bar, Buy button, Branding, and Autoplay. Tap to toggle; lit means visible. Sticky bar is the day-to-day switch for the site-wide bar; see Sticky player bar.

See the player variants reference for what each option does.

Set the shop default

Click Set as default on a preset in the list. The default styles the sticky bar, browse players, and every track, album, and tracklist that doesn't have its own preset.

Assign a preset to a track, album, or tracklist

Open the item in your catalog and use its Storefront player section to pick a saved preset. The picker previews each one on the item itself. Leaving it on Shop default inherits your shop-wide preset, which is the right choice for most of your catalog: assign per-item presets only where a release needs its own look.

Sound kits are the exception

The sound kit layout is fixed in this version and ignores presets. See Install the player block.
