Player variants reference
Every player layout, color scheme, and preset option. Variants, schemes, custom colors, controls, now-playing details, branding, and sticky bar settings.
This page is the reference for everything a preset can control.
Layout variants
The Layout option picks the player's overall shape. Product pages override it automatically (a track product shows the track card, an album product the track list; see how the block picks what to play), so the variant mainly drives browse players and "Automatic" blocks.
| Variant | Editor label | Best for |
|---|---|---|
full | Full store player | A full-featured storefront player over your whole catalog or a collection (the default) |
card | Single track card | One track with artwork and a buy button |
plain | Plain list | A minimal unstyled track list that leans on your theme's typography |
compact | Compact player | A small-footprint player for sidebars and dense sections |
list | Track list (minimal) | A lean track list with an optional heading |
store | Beat store card | A beat-store-style card layout for browsing and buying |
Two more layouts exist but aren't preset-selectable: the sticky bar (the app embed, styled by the same preset) and the kit layout, which sound kit products always use and which ignores presets.
Color and shape
| Option | Values | Default |
|---|---|---|
| Scheme | Light · Dark · Custom (set automatically when you pick a custom background) | Dark |
| Background | Any color; scheme-matched swatch rows or a free color field | #161619 |
| Text | Any color (custom scheme) | #FFFFFF |
| Accent | Any color: highlights, active states, waveform | #6554FF |
| Buy buttons | Any color (custom scheme) | #FFFFFF |
| Overlay | The dim layer behind pop-up panels (set automatically; not separately shown in the editor) | #00000080 |
| Corner radius | 0–24 px | 12 px |
Picking a custom background chooses legible text and button colors from its brightness, so you can't accidentally ship white-on-white.
Controls and toggles
All of these live on the preset's Controls tab (lit tile = visible) unless noted.
| Toggle | What it shows | Default |
|---|---|---|
| Artwork | Cover art in the now-playing area | On |
| Title | The track title | On |
| Artist | The artist / collaborators line | On |
| Prev / next | Previous and next track buttons | On |
| Volume | The volume control | On |
| Shuffle | The shuffle button | On |
| Repeat | The repeat/loop button | On |
| Progress bar | The seek/progress bar | On |
| Playlist | The track queue panel (full-player layouts) | On |
| Buy button | The buy/add-to-cart button on each track | On |
| Branding | The "Powered by Tuneboom" logo | On |
| Autoplay | Start playback automatically when the player loads | Off |
| Sticky bar | The site-wide sticky player bar (needs the Tuneboom app embed on in your theme) | On |
Sticky bar options
These two options only affect the sticky bar; inline layouts ignore them.
| Option | Values | Default |
|---|---|---|
| Sticky bar transport | On the artwork · Leading edge · Centred (where the previous/play/next cluster sits) | On the artwork |
| Sticky bar waveform | Full width · Inset panel · Expand on hover · Progress bar only | Full width |
On the artwork places the transport over the cover art, so it needs Artwork switched on.
Defaults are the Classic look
A brand-new preset starts as the stock "Classic" look: full player, dark scheme, Tuneboom purple accent, 12 px corners, every control on, autoplay off. Reset in the preset editor returns to exactly this.
Customize appearance
Build reusable player presets with a live preview, set a shop default, assign presets per track, album, or tracklist, and learn how the player picks which look to use.
