Voice tag
Upload your producer tag once and control how every preview is tagged, from length and interval to loudness and character.
The Voice tag section of Settings→Voice tag is the shop-wide home of automatic preview tagging: upload your tag once, and every beat's streamable preview is tagged with it. No per-track upload, no manual audio editing. On plans without auto-tagging the section shows an upgrade banner instead.
These are the shop defaults. Individual tracks can override any of them (or supply their own pre-tagged preview) in the track editor. See Auto-tagging for the per-track story and the tagging status flags.
Your tag
Upload a one-to-three-second drop as .mp3 or .wav with Browse (or Change to replace it). The Audition button plays the raw tag file so you can hear exactly what will be stamped over your previews before it's applied to the whole catalog.
The controls
| Control | Options | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| Preview length | Full track · 30 · 60 · 90 · 120 seconds | How much of each beat the storefront preview streams. Applies to every beat unless a track overrides it. |
| Tag every | 10 · 15 · 20 · 25 · 30 seconds | The tag repeat interval. As the field's own hint puts it: 20 seconds plays the tag three times a minute. |
| Loudness | Light · Medium · Heavy | How far the tag sits above the beat in the mix. |
| Tag character | Normal ("The voice as recorded") · Deep ("Pitched down ~3 semitones") | A pitch effect applied when the preview is made. It works on a recorded tag too, and changing it never costs a re-recording. |
Press Save to apply. Previews rebuild with the new settings; while a preview is rebuilding, its track shows a Tagging flag in the catalog list.
Tips
- Keep the tag short. One to three seconds. The interval control handles repetition; a long tag at a 10-second interval buries the music.
- Audition after every change of tag file. Loudness and character are applied when the preview is made, but the source recording's quality carries through.
- Full track + tags is a valid strategy. A fully streamable, tagged preview lets buyers hear the whole arrangement while keeping the clean file behind the purchase.
When tagging goes wrong
A track stuck on Tagging, showing Tagging failed, or previewing without a tag has its own diagnosis path. See Auto-tagging. A track showing No voice tag means this section has no tag file uploaded yet.
