Upgrade, downgrade & cancel
Switch plans, understand what happens at plan limits, watch your usage meters, and cancel back to the free tier.
You change plans yourself, in the app, at any time. No support ticket needed. Everything on this page starts from Settings→Plan.
Your usage at a glance
The Plan section in Settings shows your current plan, its status, your billing amount, and usage meters for Tracks, Albums, and Tracklists against your plan's limits:
Switching plans
Go to Settings→Plan and press Switch plan (or open the Plans page directly).
The feature matrix shows every plan side by side, with your current plan highlighted and marked Current plan. Every other column has an Upgrade or Downgrade button, depending on price.
Press the button for your target plan. For a paid plan, Shopify shows its charge confirmation screen. Approve it and you land back in the app on the new plan. Switching to the free plan needs no confirmation and applies immediately.
Billing is handled entirely by Shopify subscriptions: the charge appears on your Shopify invoice, prorated by Shopify's own rules.
What a downgrade means for your catalog
Downgrading never deletes anything. Your catalog stays intact; the lower plan's rules apply to new activity:
- You can't create tracks, albums, or Tracklists beyond the lower limits.
- Sections that require a higher plan (Fulfillment emails, Voice tag) hide behind an upgrade banner; your saved settings are kept and reappear when you upgrade again.
- Auto-tagging pauses on plans without it; already-tagged previews keep playing.
Hitting a plan limit
Limits apply when you create something. Past the cap, the app shows an upgrade dialog instead of creating the item:
Nothing is lost. The item simply isn't created. Upgrade, or make room by archiving/deleting, and try again. If you're within your limits and still see errors, that's a bug, not a limit: see Plan limit reached.
Cancelling a paid subscription
Open the Plans page. Below the matrix, press Cancel subscription.
Confirm in the dialog. Cancelling removes the Shopify charge and downgrades your account to the free tier.
Cancel ≠ uninstall
Cancelling drops you to the free plan and stops billing. Your store, catalog, and orders keep working under free-plan rules. Uninstalling the app from Shopify is a different action with much bigger consequences (the player disappears from your storefront and delivery stops). If your only goal is to stop paying, cancel; don't uninstall.
